I am delighted to know that the Weidner Memorial Senior Secondary
School, Rajnandgaon, is celebrating its Golden Jubilee this year and to mark
this historic milestone a special Golden Jubilee edition of school magazine is
going to be brought out to showcase various achievements, development and
memorable events of the past fity golden years. With great joy I write a
message for the commemorative issue and gladly impart my blessings to all
concerned for this educative and informative venture.
Jubilee is a legitimate occasion of rejoicing, celebrating and thanking
God for His innumerable blessings and to I recall with gratitude all those who
have been instrumental in its growth and progress in the past fifty years. Irecall with joy my own short stint as Vice-Principal of this glorious institution in 1984-85 and cherish many happy memories of my cordial interactions with our teachers and students. Now I rejoice with you as the President of the registered society that runs this school.
It is said that the greatest gift we can leave for our future generations is access to quality education, for nothing empowers the child and strengthens the community more than access to good and quality education. Weidner Memorial Senior Secondary Schoo! has been doing the same for the past fifty years in Rajnandgaon with a deep sense of commitment and dedication. It was established in 1975 and since then it has grown from strength to strength in various ways and today occupies a place of importance among the
institutions of learning in Chhattisgarh.
It is Important to recognize the crucial role of education in contributing to building a culture of peace, love, justice and harmony which needed most for any society and country to progress. It is heartening to note that the school has been making steady progress in every respect for the total development of the students by providing an environment that fosters growth in knowledge, learning, leadership and service. Such an all-comprehensive system of education has helped the school to also become a centre of encounter and integration for our multi-cultural and pluralistic society where children of different age, culture, religion, roots and abilities learn to accept and respect their differences and to live as one Family.
I earnestly exhort you to maintain the value-based quality of education for building up a new generation with a deep sense of moral and social responsibility to the society and nation at large.
On this historic occasion of the Golden Jubilee, | congratulate the Management, Manager, Principal, Staff and Students, Parents, Alumni and all Well-Wishers of the school. May God bless and lead the Weidner Memorial Senior Secondary School to greater heights of learning and many years of fruitful service. I wish the members of editorial board of the Golden Jubilee magazine every success and God's abundant blessings.
With all good wishes and blessings
